Before I got sick, we headed into Portland to a church in the city to get some new pics for Bridgid's Cross. Instead of asking someone who actually knows how to take photos, we assumed the girls could just do it. Between the two of them they took about 200 photos and we only liked a couple.
We both really liked this one, but obviously the photographer needs to work on centering the subjects in the frame.
In the garden....my garden is just bursting with life! It's such a fun time of year. Sadly, my lupine have a pretty serious aphid infestation. I tried an organic spray that did NOTHING except smell bad. I ripped out an entire plant and cut off several stems, then finally we bought another bag of live ladybugs and that has helped tremendously.
On Sunday we found a fun May Day surprise by our front door - I have no idea who left it for us!
Our summer performance schedule starts this weekend and we've been practicing a lot! We play at the Hood River farmer's market on Saturday and then play at an Irish pub in Portland on Sunday night. Currently we have about 2 gigs a month between now and October.
We are super happy to have a duck family in our pond again this year. We've spotted the mama and ducklings swimming around a lot and have even fed them a few times. We've counted 11 ducklings in this group - more than double the size of last year's crew.
That's all for now...we have an exciting weekend ahead so I'll post about that soon.
so much to comment on.. Love the photo shoot- especially your lovely plaid dress, Jill! The girls will get the hang of it- they have the right gene pool... not our side tho lol! Always love and appreciate the beauty of where you live. can't wait to get there again!
