Sydney loves Japanese food - mostly Udon noodles. For Christmas I put a package of Udon noodles in her stocking. We happen to have a very good friend, and neighbor, who is Japanese and she invited us over to teach us how to make Udon.
Her parents send her food from Japan, and she used these fish broth bags (like tea bags) to make the base for the noodles.
Udon noodles come in different sizes and types...these are the ones I got for Sydney.
We made one batch with the fish broth base and a second batch with this miso base.
I don't remember what these were called, but we topped the Udon noodles with them. They were fairly tasteless.
