Wailea Beach Resort

This past week we had the opportunity to go to Maui as a family. Kaiser Permanente, the company Kevin works for, is located in Oregon, Washington, California, Georgia and Hawaii. Last fall Kevin was invited to participate on a leadership team that would require attending a few meetings during the year - the first of which was being held in Maui. Because Kevin was going to be busy during the 3 day leadership conference, we went a few days early so we could have time exploring as a family.

We left Portland at 8am and landed in Maui by 11am (direct, 5 1/2 hour flight with a 3 hour time difference). We flew Hawaiian airlines and had a wonderful experience on all our flights. We arrived at our resort a few hours before our room was ready, so we walked around in absolute awe at the beauty of Hawaii and the quality of where we were staying.

The entrance into the resort was lined with these amazing trees....

We were greeted with leis and fruit juice.

There is a big, outdoor lobby that included swings, different chairs for lounging, a giant chess game and more.

The resort also had a game room for families and kids - media stations, a large screen for movies, board games, foosball and more.

And...there were three different pool areas. Right outside our window was the Adventure pool with two waterslides and waterfalls.

The pool farthest from our room was the family pool and infinity pool with spas.

Finally, there was the "Serenity" pool for adults only (ages 18+). It was heavenly and had these individual cabanas that you could rent.

The infinity pool here was so serene and peaceful.
