This past week we headed back to one of our favorite places...central Oregon...for a few days of vacation.
Sunriver is a place where we can put our feet up and truly relax. Our first evening there several deer walked right through the back yard for their dinner.
The next morning we headed out to the Newberry Volcano area for some hiking (hiking is one of the ways our family relaxes!) . We haven't done much hiking the past 6 months so it felt really good to be back on the trail.
Our first stop was the Big Obsidian Lava flow....a short walk through the lava flow from the most recent eruption of this volcano (1300 years ago!)
