Our Recent Project

When we bought this house and moved in, we had a fabulous natural privacy border between us and our closest neighbors with these arborvitae. You can see that a few were starting to die, but they were so thick and tall and provided great privacy. Technically, these trees are on our neighbor's property.

Over the years trees have been dying and finally in April the neighbors decided to cut them all down.

As you can see, the difference was SHOCKING and AWFUL. When I heard the chainsaws and saw the crew I ran out and begged them to stop. I begged them to leave the ones that were not dead, but they didn't. It's been almost a month and the neighbors STILL have not talked to us about it.

We wasted no time in getting up a partial fence so we felt free to open up our blinds and look out our windows without seeing a parking lot. There are regularly 4 vehicles parked there and someone is living in that RV. It feels like someone is camping in our backyard.

With the left over wood from the fence, Kevin offered to make me some garden boxes which led to a whole garden expansion. I love it so much.
