Our Big Adventure ~ Burlington, day 1

Our first order of business was to drive by our old houses....the first one being the one we moved away from. I have to admit...this was hard for me. Kevin and I looked long and hard for this house and our dream was to own some acreage in Vermont. When we lived here, we had 13 acres - our own little Yantz Hill. If you look closely in this photo, you'll se the house.

We passed the owner on the way out - Kevin recognized him as the guy who bought it from us. We didn't feel comfortable pulling up to the house, so this is as close as we got. They have painted it red (used to be an orangey-brown color).

Then we drove by Kirby Lane - the first house we bought and Sydney's first home.

Then we just drove different places....reminiscing as we drove along.

We stopped in Jericho Center for a picnic lunch. This is the church we attended for a while.

And this is just an old church in Williston - we used to drive by this every day.

Then we headed into Burlington to walk around the University of Vermont - where Kevin used to work.

They have some gorgeous, old buildings on campus. And they have a fireplace large enough for kids to walk into.

We also walked by the hospital where both girls were born. Kayleigh wasn't impressed.

And then we went to church street. I went into Burlington Violins to say hi to an old friend.

Finally we met up with Grandma and Grandpa Hall and Sarah.

We ate dinner and then ice cream from Ben and Jerry's.

Then we walked to the waterfront to catch the beautiful sunset!
