One of the things I love most about living in the Pacific Northwest are the trees that grow here. I love the variety and I love the grandeur of some - especially the giant sequoias.
We walked around a park for a bit on Sunday before heading home. We had hoped to drive the 5-mile loop of this part that would take us to the shores of the Puget Sound, but the road was closed. So we made the most of it and just walked around.
On Saturday, after the glass museum, we headed to a botanical garden.
Outside the garden was another park we walked around. I found big stash of chestnuts. I stuffed my pockets with as many as I could carry and now I have chestnuts at home. I'm not sure what to do with them, but they remind me of my Grandpa and Grandma Domnick and the nut bowl they had sitting out this time of year.
Your pictures are beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!
